MCAI members who attended the Annual convention enjoyed the beautiful desert of Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as participated in the various educational seminars and programs about our industry. More than 130 people from Indiana attended the convention. The theme for the convention was Learn, Enjoy, and Grow. Steve Dawson, Harrell-Fish, Inc. conducted an educational session for all attendees. His session was titled How to Turn Results into Profits, designed on placing the emphasis on results. Many MCAI members attended his session and all the reviews were superior. Highlighted events included guest speakers Newt Gingrich, Rudy Ruettiger, and Bob Costas. Attendees also enjoyed a formal evening listening and dancing to songs by Broadway star Michael Cavanaugh. UA General President Bill Hite addressed the attendees and spoke about the state of the mechanical construction and service industry from the UA perspective. The convention ended with a closing session where Lonnie Coleman was introduced as the next President. Next years convention will be held March 28 April 1, 2010, in San Francisco, CA.
